    mohideen Tuesday, 13 January 2015 09:05 AM

Just see the cost savings on security tamasha on defenders; fuel cahrges on defenders and other gasoline guzzling vehicles; private and persoal stooges etc... Well done... Good start.

    kumara Tuesday, 13 January 2015 09:07 AM

Rajiva Wijesinha is a good choice.

    Barathy Tuesday, 13 January 2015 09:15 AM

I am not sure what P. Digambaram could do with Estate Infrastructure Development as he does not have the education nor the track record. If the government is serious about helping the tea plantain community they should have given the ministry to a person who feels for these marginalized community irrespective of what ethnicity they(MP) represent.

    lankason Tuesday, 13 January 2015 09:27 AM

FONSEKA IS NOT A PARLIAMENT MEMBER YET. AFTER HIS PRAJA AITHIYA IS RESTORED HE WILL BE THE DEFENCE MINISTER

    Lanka Tuesday, 13 January 2015 09:30 AM

"Cabinet of not more than 25 members." This is the way they put in their 100 days plan. And they have appointed 10 State Ministers also. They also should be counted. because their working area is not similar to Cabinet Ministers. And no Minister for Sports related. If we are go behind the promises they said this is not acceptable. But it is a good move. and we have a hope. But its good than what we had.

    srilankan Tuesday, 13 January 2015 09:31 AM

    Dewendra Tuesday, 13 January 2015 12:47 PM

I too agree that Akila for education is a big mistake. Also Chandrani Bandara... Better than the previous one but still could have limited to 25..some important ministries still missing...seems like will have more to come..then there will not be any difference.

Nimal Tissa Wijetunga Tuesday, 13 January 2015 03:06 PM

General Sarath Fonseka must be the Defence Minister. The government must restore his Civic Rights very soon and restore his Parlimentary seat held before Civic Rights were taken away and immediately make him the Minister of Defence. If it is not happened soon, it is going to be the first mistake of the present goverment.I am suspecting the track record of even Ranil Wickremasighe on National Issues as we can recall what he and the the UNPERS TOLD DURING THE WAR as I can remember they were telling Government forces have gone to Medawacchiya instead of Kilinochhiya. Besides, we can remember his soft corner towards terrorist Prabhakaran and always had the policy of dialogues with terrorist with a view to giving then North and East as one block including police and land powers.Chnadrika Bandaranayake tried to make 05 provinces in Sri Lanka and the North east was proposed to give to LTTE Terrorist. meanwhile, we shall recall the historic role played by JVP with their 35 members in the parliament preventing Chandrika and Ranil not to get two third majority and when JRJ made the NORTHEAST AS ONE province, JVP went to courts and separated it citing that it was unconstitutional. In the circumstances, I urge the general public to not to forget these happenings and people at the fore front of this deshadrohi proposals and who did real efforts to overturn those historic blunders and be vigilant about the moves of Ranil and Chandrika on National Questions.

    dissanayaka Tuesday, 13 January 2015 07:51 AM
