A wrong move made by BASL. if the association asked for restorationof her rights and privileges and paid back her dues and paid her pension, and retired her lawfully, it would have been a reasonable request. She hadfaulted in her judgements prior to impeachment. and reinstatement will bequestioned.

The best thing to do is to exonerate her and retire her with dignity. If she is reinstated by this government her impartiality will be always doubted. Appoint the next senior most judge as the CJ.

Nimalu - I fully agree with your reasoning out ,She should be exonerated and given all her dues like arrears of salary and pension and appoint the next senior judge After all, this is judiciary appointmentand no politician should intervene in the selection. BASL talks for her but she did not endorse Mr. Sirisena in the elections and stated that she is not involved in politics. The best way to get out of this mess for the President is to appoint anacting CJ. immediately as judiciary has to function to maintain law
