The US Embassy in Colombo rejected the allegations by Minister Gunaratne Weerakoon that he was offered a ‘bribe’ by outgoing US Ambassador Michele Sison.

When enquired about the matter, US Embassy said that the allegations were baseless and they reflected a fundamental misunderstanding of their engagement with senior government officials and their policy towards Sri Lanka as well as the U.S. political and economic system.

It also said the Ambassador Sison met with President Rajapaksa, Foreign Minister G.L. Peiris and other senior government officials this week, and they congratulated her on strengthening their bilateral relationship.

Resettlement Minister Guneratne Weerakoon had told a political meeting in Aranwela recently that he was offered a ‘bribe’ by outgoing US Ambassador Michele Sison and he had recordings of the discussion.

As if Americans will admit to this accusation. Americans are the world’s worst and corrupt people when it comes down to foreign policy. They will resort to even murdering people to achieve what they want. Having a recording of the supposed conversation and the offer to bribe will not do a darn thing. Americans are blatant lairs. Look at what goes on in the USA! Look at the recent killings of unarmed black people in Missouri and New York that had video tapings of police brutality and plainly killing – one in Missouri by shooting of a young black man while his hands held high up in the air and then an unarmed man in New York by choking and manhandling with bare hands. Both are deliberate murders but the police criminals were just let go. These two crimes are just the ones that have been recorded but on daily basis there are hundreds of thousands of racial profiling of mainly black people. So, this is that so called United States of America claiming to be an ultimate Super Power, the purest democracy in the World and self appointed Police thugs trying to protect the whole world with the protection of the United Nations that is mainly funded by the Americans. If not for the Chinese and the Russians that keep a check on the West, this world wouldn’t be what it is today but laves of the West.
