Police today released CCTV footage of a Rs.400,000 robbery of a hardware shop at the Watareka Junction in Padukka yesterday.
They sought public assistance to identify the two armed men who carried out the robbery.
The two men wearing face-covered helmets had fired several shots in the air to frighten off the bystanders and the shop employees.
The Padukka police requests the public to provide any information that might lead to identification of the armed robbers to OIC BimalPereraon 0777554184 or 011 2859110.
Police said the informant who provided correct information would be rewarded. (Buddhika Kumarasiri)
