Mayor you don't know what needs to be done. If someone breach the law of the land it is the law enforcing authorities that you need to complain or brought in to their attention. i.e. Sri Lankan Police, Court and relevant authorities.
Nadarajah Sunday, 06 January 2013 01:09 PM
Don't worry jena, Jaffna people knows about Mayor. She did right thing.
Patriot Sunday, 06 January 2013 11:32 AM
Madam, please do not act like an ostrich. There are Moslem traders who illegally occupy main areas of the town and refuse to even obey legal orders harming local traders who suffered for the past several decades. You have no guts to save the Jaffna traders from these invaders; but attacking these Indians only a very few in number for merely making cheap political capital! Shame!!

Government wants to squeeze out every cent from Sri Lankans and finance Lamboginis, and useless mega projects.
And if they find a loop hole some where and get a few things cheaper they do their best to stop it and make sure Sri Lankans pay sky high prices for everything from wheat flour to slippers.

This is a different form of business by Indians that prevailed from late 1970s and beyond.Once again love shown by Tamil Nadu Community towards people residing in the North Sri Lanka.

So these "so-called tourists" from India, who I believe are making up numbers for the Central Bank reports on "rosy tourism" of SL are actually taking money out of the country rather than bring in .
kumaraya Saturday, 05 January 2013 01:21 AM
But these are your brothers and cousins!! They gave you all the encouragement to carve out a part of this little island so now you must let them do as they please!!

Raja Raju Saturday, 05 January 2013 01:08 AM
This news must be passed to the Central Bank Governor who is counting on the tourist for future development plan. It seems 30% of them are here for street vending only.
