This man should come back to Sri Lanka his in efficiency is what has brought about the US resolution in Geneva .There is work to be done in the US and we need a much better person for the Job.It may be even better to appoint a prominent Sri Lankan living in the US and even taken up US citizenship - there are several - as the countries Ambassador. Most Middle east oil exporting countries just do that.

I thought the Sri Lankans who emigrated to the US are now US CITIZENS. Dont they take a pledge as a citizen of the US.to "HONOR & DEFEND' that country?

Responsible and serious world leaders send their top most diplomats to Washington because those leaders know Americans are serious people. Sri Lanka too sent her top diplomats to Washington and unlike now US took Sri Lanka seriously. I have nothing against you and I know you are a very nice guy. But the fact is what experience you have about foreign affairs except tea business? What credentials do you have to gain respect and recognition from the international community? Those things matter very much. As you are very well aware all the influential Sri Lankan professionals who worked very closely with the Embassy in the past, do not want to participate in any of the functions Embassy organizes now and I am certain you know the reason. Your job is not to call upon Sri Lankans but to call upon and deal with the State Department. But the unfortunate fact is they do not take you seriously without experience and credentials.

I wonder why people forget the past like this . Its funny that those who clamor for SF's freedom were the best anti war jokers who wanted the country lose. The SF is a disloyal and greedy individual who suffers for what he had done. He sold (betrayed) his soldiers just get some cheap propaganda mileage. Now he has become the one and only war hero while all others risk war crime charges . Why we protect MR, because he was the best leader so far we had ..if we are to get find a better leader to replaces , we have to protect the country's stability and let it develop. Any discernible will agree that the present jokers in the opposition is incapable of doing what MR has done. Why we should oppose foreign intervention .. if you can't understand that .. Dear Ambassador, your Press Release mill and youtube clips show you wining and dining with a couple of retired US ambassadors and Sri Lankans in the US. They are all aimed at the Sri Lankan media. We never see you engage US policy makers! Why have you failed to convince US policy makers even when the Government of Sri Lanka is spending millions of dollars to help you and your Embassy by providing you the assistance of a PR agency?!!!
