Eighty percent of the drivers are under influence of drugs. Liquor can be identified but other substances no way to detect.

Indeed a good request, but pls do not bring the Leader of the JO in to this as he will surely spoil the soup.

Over an over this comments have come in. But the authorities are deaf and blind unless something happen to their lives. It is very foolish to set fire vehicles specially public transport by the people. Because you give room for the reckless thug drivers to live and they will take more lives. Its better the public kill him and shown through the media. So that no driver will dare to kill innocent people on the roads and will follow the road rules. We all know how many lives have gone because of indiscipline drivers. They never stop at crossings except for few gentlemen drivers. I too drive a car.and I see even private vehicle owners (few) have taken the turn like the three wheeler bus and container drivers. Please impose severe punishment to all law offenders whatever the position they hold if we need to have proper road discipline.Over to the authorities whom the people voted for good discipline.

Our drivers seem to think that they are invincible behind the wheel. Too many innocent lives are being lost unnecessarily. We all have a duty to put pressure on the Govt. to act now!

The only way to reduce the number of accidents is to reduce the number of vehicles in the road. And the only way to reduce the number of vehicles on the road is to make a decent public transport system.

It is very irresponsible for the Media to publish these photographs. How do you expect the families of these victims to feel seeing theses photos on internet/papers. I think we need a code of ethics for the media in Sri Lanka.
