They said the power supply to some areas in Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Attidiya, Kawdana, Piliyandala, Ratmalana, Matugama, Panadura, Borupana and Maharagama had broken down.
The Western Province (South) Deputy General Manager speaking to Daily Mirror, said arrangements were being made to restore power supplies in some two hours.
“The cause of the power failure has still not been determined and also whether there is any connection between today’s power failure and yesterday’s countrywide power failure,” an official said. (Piyumi Fonseka)

This is a clear case of sabotage . When i spoke to AGM south in the moring and expressed my displeasure about yesterdays power failure he said it was a island wide power cut and operations engiineer was busy and he couldnt check . 01 hr after my call power failed. i call again he didnt answer the phone. When i call DGM ;s office a male answered the phone and admitted there is a power failure and it was due to load balancing after yesterdays failure. I think CEB is flexing there muscles against the government on things to come . Government shouldnt bow down to this blackmail . CEB dehiwela gives a extremely shoddy service .

Batagoga will appoint another committee. ! ! These lay administrators thrive on committees. Let the "CEB officials" (as he calls them), address the problem.
