1. President attends Parliament sitting

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrived in Parliament today. He was accorded a warm welcome by the Chief Government Whip Johnston Fernando along with State Ministers Kanaka Herath and D. V. Chanaka at the main Parliament entrance.

3. Deserted due to COVID-19 restrictions

Roads in the Colombo City, Kottawa and Gampaha area are seen deserted due to COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the authorities to prevent the spread of the virus. 4. Vesak without devotees

Most of the temples seemed deserted following the strict travel restrictions imposed by the Government due to the COVID pandemic. All religious activities in temples were suspended and no devotees are allowed to visit temples.
