Colombo, Jan 05 (Daily Mirror) - The Lot Polish Airlines commenced operations today connecting Warsaw in Poland and Colombo, the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) said.
They said the Boeing-789 Dreamliner flight under Lot Polish Airlines landed at 12.30 p.m. at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with 282 tourists.
The AASL announced that the charter operation will continue till March 29, 2024 every Friday.
The flight was welcomed by a celebratory water cannon salute upon arrival at the BIA and the passengers were warmly welcomed by a traditional Kandyan dance performance organized by Jetwing Travels.
Further, Sri Lanka Tourism had organized gifts for each tourist who arrived in Sri Lanka.
