A third individual who was a part of Sri Lanka’s contingent at the 22nd Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England has gone missing, team management said today (3).
An athlete from Sri Lanka’s Wrestling Team has reportedly gone missing having earlier tested positive for COVID-19, Deputy Chef-de-Mission Gamini Jayasinghe told the Daily Mirror.
The missing athlete was set to compete in his first-round event of the wrestling competition on August 6.
Earlier, a Sri Lankan judoka and an official of the Judo Team went missing.
The missing wrestler was transferred to the Commonwealth Games Medical Centre after testing positive and was later set to be released after he cleared the second random test.
However, when the Sri Lankan team management arrived to pick him up from the centre, they found the athlete was missing.
The Commonwealth Games Security Department has been alerted with the Sri Lankan missing athlete and are investigating the disappearance of some of the other athletes from the Games as well.

Round all of them up and send them back to Sri Lanka. They will make UK like Sri Lanka with their pro Sinhala racist nonsense. It is unfair to people who did not vote for them.
