Vihanga shines in Mahanama’s win

Vihanga Perera shone with an all-round performance to help Mahanama Colombo coast to a comfortable 130 runs win over Holy Cross Kalutara in the Under 17 inter-schools limited overs tournament encounter played at the Army ground in Dombagoda.

A five wicket haul by Dinuja Wellahewage laid the foundation for Royal College to record a convincing ten wicket win over St Benedict’s College at Reid Avenue while Richmond secured a six win over Vidyaloka MV Galle at Galle and Christ King College Ja-eEa defeated St Joseph’s Wattala at Ja-ela.

The match between Dharmapala MV Pannipitiya and Ananda Sastralaya Kotte ended in a thrilling tie at Kotte.
