Under 19 Limited Overs Final Sri Sumangala Central and Henegama Central battle for title

Sri Sumangala Central Hikkaduwa and Henegama Central will meet in the final for the Under 19 Division Two inter-school limited overs title scheduled to be played at the MCA ground today.

The match was originally scheduled to be played in November last year but due to the unavailability of a suitable ground the match was postponed and it even reached a stage where it would not have been played at all.

The tournament had 18 teams in the fray divided into two groups.

Sri Sumangala led by Chamathka Kavishan ended up as the third best in their group and Henegama Central led by Duvindu Methmal was the second best team.

In the quarter final encounters Sri Sumangala Central overcame P de S. Kularatne MV Ambalangoda and Hengama got the better of Karandeniya Central.

The semifinal clash had Sri Sumangala defeating Christ King College Ja-Ela and Henegama Central succeeding against St Mary’s College Chilaw.
