Trinco schoolboy hammers 303 in 50-over match

A cricketer from Tissa Maha Vidyalaya in Trincomalee , Thameera Nadeep, turned one-day limited overs cricket upside down when he slammed a whopping 303 in just 138 balls with 48 fours and five sixes as his side coasted to a massive 532 runs win over Abhayapura Maha Vidyalaya Trincomalee in their Under 19 Division 3 Tier ‘B’ encounter in Trincomalee yesterday.

Thameera was involved in three big stands of 108 runs for the second wicket with Kanishka Niranjana, 221 runs for the third wicket with Pansilu Vidanage and 140 runs for the fourth wicket with Pansilu Denuwan which helped Tissa MV to make a record score of 570 for 8. 

Abhayapura MV in their turn was bundled out for a meager 38 runs.
