Thurstan helped by a half ton from Sethru Fernando taking first lease of the wicket made a score of 257 against Richmond who ended day one on 69 for 2 in their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played at Thurstan ground.

St Benedict’s ended day one on 144 for 5 in reply to At Aloysius’ score of 167 at the end of the first day’s play in their match played at Karandeniya.

Half tons by Jeeva Abishan and Sathkunarajah Vinuksha enabled St John’s Jaffna to come out on top against Rahula Matara in the match played at Jaffna. The matches will be continued today.
