Sri Lanka Rugby bans a ghost

On yet another occasion Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) has displayed its timid nature by announcing that this time it has banned a ghost.

In issuing a Press release SLR has given the names of two people that it said have been banned for six months “from all rugby activities under the jurisdiction of Sri Lanka Rugby effective from May 22, 2026”.

But the Press statement does refer to any incident the two have been involved in or to what organisation or entity they belong to or the occasion on which they committed the offence to be name and banned.

The nature of the offence and who was the victim or victims of the two or the venue or location where the incident happened have also not been stated.

The Press statement sounded more like SLR washing its hands from an incident Heaven only knows or playing safe merely to show they have acted, which literary they has done.  

The two names given also sound, out-of-this-world, further confusing rugby followers if the names are to be published.
