Second volleyball selection trial for boys and girls

Sri Lanka will field junior boys’ and girls’ teams at the upcoming 2026 Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Volleyball Tournament.

Accordingly, the second selection trial for the junior girls’ team will be held on March 6 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm while the junior boys’ second trials are scheduled for March 9 and 10 during the same time period at the same venue, the Watupitiwala Indoor Stadium.

Initial pool selection trials targeting the tournament were conducted from February 9 to 12 at the Watupitiwala Indoor Stadium and a total of 77 players — 53 boys and 24 girls — qualified for the second selection stage.

In addition to the shortlisted players, the SLVB has also arranged a special selection trial for those who were unable to attend the earlier trials due to the GCE Ordinary Level Examination.

Players under this category are required to produce their examination admission card on the relevant trial dates. SLVB stated that those who fail to present valid proof of the examination will not be permitted to participate in the trials.
