Schools Netball Association elect office bearers

Shashikala Senadheera, the principal of Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy has been elected unopposed as the president of the Sri Lanka Schools Netball Association.

The election of office-bearers took place at the auditorium of the Ministry of Education at Isurupaya.

Shiranthi Prasadika Rajapakse, a veteran netball umpire and teacher at Visakha Girls’ School, Sapugaskanda, was elected as the Secretary.

Apart from the positions of president, deputy president and vice presidents, elections were held for the remaining executive posts.

Newly elected office-bearers of the Sri Lanka Schools Netball Association:

President – Shashikala Senadheera (principal, Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy)

Deputy president – Neranjala Herath (Principal, Premarathna Vidyalaya, Kulugammana)

Secretary – Shiranthi Prasadika Rajapakse (Visakha Girls’ School, Sapugaskanda)

Vice presidents – H. Sujeewa Priyanthi (principal, Siri Piyarathana Central College, Padukka), Priyanka Hemamali (deputy principal, Pannala National School), SK Muthumala (principal, Kokawala Maha Vidyalaya)

Assistant Secretary – Yasanthi Thusharika (Tissa Central College, Kalutara)

Treasurer – Theja Bhadrani (Wayamba Royal College, Kurunegala)

Tournament Secretary – Kamal Sri Kanchana (Maliyadeva Balika Vidyalaya, Kurunegala)

Technical Officer – Veenu Geeth Radha (Sujatha Vidyalaya, Matara)
