Sangamitta SC win Novices volleyball

Sangamittta Sports Club of Kirindiwela emerged as the girls’ champions of the Manchee Nationals Novices volleyball tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB).

In the girls’ final, Sangamittta SC defeated Maho Vijaya Sports Club by three sets to nil (27–25, 25–23, 25–20) to clinch the Novices title.

Hungama Vijayaba Vidyalaya secured third place in the tournament.

Anjalika Dushyanthi of Sangamitta SC was adjudged the Best Player in the girls’ category.

In addition, Tharushi Nimansa of Sangamitta SC received the award for Best Setter while Madushani Tennakoon of Vijaya SC was named Best Attacker.
