SLARDAR launches racing Super Series

The Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) officially launched the BETSS.COM Sri Lanka Super Series 2026 at the DIMO 800 Auditorium in Colombo on Thursday.

The launch brought together sponsors, media partners, competitors, racing fans and the public to introduce what promises to be another exciting year of motorsport across the island according to the organisers.

Throughout the season, drivers and riders will compete in various formats and terrains (hill climb, gravel and tarmac), culminating in the crowning of the country’s best driver and rider of the year.

Prashan Wijayanayake, President of SLARDAR said: “The Sri Lanka Super Series has become one of the most anticipated events on the national motorsport calendar. Each year, we see incredible dedication from drivers, riders, teams and our valued partners who share our vision of boosting motorsports in Sri Lanka. With the ongoing support of our sponsors and the excitement of the racing community, we are confident that the 2026 championship will reach even greater heights.”

The Sri Lanka Super Series 2026 began earlier this year with the Mahameruwa Rally Cross (Race 1) in Giriulla on February 7 and 8.

Upcoming events include the Single Tree Hill Climb in Nuwara Eliya on April 5 and 6, the Colombo Supercross in Welisara on May 9 and 10, the Cavalry Supercross in Kurunegala on June 27 and 28, the Katukurunda Circuit Meet on September 5 and 6 and the return of the Mahameruwa Rally Cross (Race 2) in Giriulla on October 17 and 18.
