Ruvin and Suwanji pilots Colombo Masters to title

Ruvin Peiris with a quick-fire 71 not out with nine fours and three sixes in 45 balls along with Suwanji Madanayake steered Colombo Masters to beat hosts Nationalised Services Cricket Association Masters by nine wickets in the final of the Ceylon Veterans SL Masters T/20 Cricket Championship at Ratmalana last Sunday. 

NSCA Masters made 112 for 9 in 20 overs and Colombo Masters in reply made 116 for 1 in 12.2 overs.

Ruvin Peiris and Yohan Jayaweera, steadied the innings with a partnership of 40 runs and later consolidated the total with Suwanji Madanayake for a partnership of 72 runs for the second wicket as Colombo Masters in the process won the seventh edition of the Championship.
