Sri Lanka continues to mark its presence on the international rugby stage with two key officiating appointments for the Borneo Sevens in Malaysia that starts today.

Top shelf referee Raveen Alexander is one of the two with veteran Dilroy Fernando being the other.

Alexander has been selected to officiate at the prestigious tournament, marking another significant milestone in his growing career. 

Known for his sharp decision-making and consistent performances on the domestic circuit, his appointment also provides valuable international exposure as he continues to rise among Asia’s elite match officials. 

Fernando has been appointed as referee manager. 

A highly respected figure in international rugby circles, Fernando brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Borneo Sevens. 

His role will be crucial in maintaining officiating standards and mentoring referees throughout the competition.

The Borneo Sevens will be staged at the Eagles Rugby Club Stadium and is one of Asia’s premier Sevens tournaments.
