Veteran Sri Lankan athlete Rajiva Wijetunge is set to compete in his 100th international athletics meet at the Singapore Masters Athletics Track and Field Championships 2026 (SMTFA), scheduled to be held at the Home of Athletics Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on June 6 and 7.
Wijetunge’s athletics career spans more than 55 years, from 1972 to 2026. Since becoming eligible to compete in Masters athletics in 1999, he has won an impressive 32 international medals representing Sri Lanka Masters.
Competing in the 65–69 age category, Wijetunge will take part in the shot put and discus throw events at the Singapore meet.
Over the years, he has consistently produced outstanding performances at the Singapore Masters Championships.
His participation at the 2026 edition marks a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s Masters athletics history.
