An unbeaten knock of 141 by Rajith Navodya helped Maliyadeva College to make a bold reply of 326 for 6 at the end of the second day against arch rivals St Anne’s College in their Under 19 Division 1 Tier B quarter final encounter at Darley Road yesterday.
This was in reply to the Annites’ score of 314. Earlier in the day Chandupa Abeysinghe with a contribution of 53 and Rajith propelled the Devans by associating in a valuable unbroken stand of 122 runs with Damlath Gamage who remained unbeaten on 35.
Meanwhile Wesley College was in a strong position against Devapathiraja MMV at the end of the second day’s play in another quarter final encounter of the same tournament played at Katuneriya.
The matches will be continued today.
