Rain spoils Mahela-Sanga match

The inter school Under-19 cricket encounter played for the Mahela-Sanga Trophy between Nalanda College and Trinity College ended in a no-decision at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday.

Continued rain made it impossible with only 13 overs possible for the day.

Trinity continued with their unbroken first wicket partnership between Dimantha Mahavithana (82 not out) and Puleesha Thilakaratne (57 not out) progressing to148 before rain set in.
