New Star undefeated in Champions League

New Star SC Panadura with 12 points, Serendib SC Mawanella with nine points in Group ‘A’ and St. Mary’s SC Jaffna and Pelicans SC Kurunegala with seven points each in Group ‘B’ are leading the FFSL Champions League 2025-26 points table after the completion of the fourth week’s matches. 

In Group B, teams are also competing fiercely as the tournament progresses.

The tournament, organised by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL), consists of 85 matches and is being held at the Race Course Ground in Colombo, running until January 26.

New Star SC, one of the standout teams, has won all four of its matches so far, making it the only undefeated team across Groups A and B. In contrast, SLTB is currently the only team yet to secure a victory in any of the four matches played.

Meanwhile, FFSL has scheduled the Champions League Super Eight round matches to begin in the first week of February, which will continue over eight weeks.

During the fourth week, Java Lane SC Colombo and St. Mary’s SC Jaffna secured comfortable wins. Java Lane SC defeated Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) 5-0 while St. Mary’s SC overcame Moragasmulla SC 4-0.
