Moratuwa Sebs make 312, Jaffna boy clubs a double ton

Adesh Almeida and Lashen Fernando shone on day one for St Sebastian’s College against St Anthony’s College Katugastota in their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played at Moratuwa yesterday and in another match Jaffna Central Jesuthasan Nitharsan 200 in only 119 balls.

Adesh cracked 106 while Lashen made 88 which helped the Sebs taking first lease of the wicket to make a formidable score of 312.

Half tons by Hansaka Perera, Ramith Bandara and  Gaveesha Induwara saw Maris Stella Negombo make a score of 356 for 7 declared against Lumbini MV who ended day one on 106 for 3 at the Colts ground.

Jesuthasan Nitharsan slammed 23 boundaries and 12 sixes to help Jaffna Central to end the day in a strong position against St Peter’s Negombo in the match played at Jaffna.

The matches will be continued today.
