A knock of 101 by Sammu Ashan for Chilaw Marians against Badureliya SC was the highlight of the first day’s play in their Major Club Tier ‘A’ Plate segment tournament encounter played at Kurunegala.

Sammu’s knock had the Marians, taking first lease of the wicket, end the day on 239/9.
