Mahanama make 350/9 as rain sets in

Rain hampered proceedings on day one of the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounters played around the island yesterday.

Mahanama College helped by half tons from Dulnith Sigera, Sineth Weeraratne and Eshan Withanage taking first lease of the wicket made a formidable score of 350 for 9 declared against Prince of Wales at Moratuwa when play was called off.

St Joseph’s College were on top on 74 for 0 in reply to Wesley College’s score of 161 when the match was called off at Darley Road. The matches will be continued today.
