Madushanka approved as replacement

Dilshan Madushanka has been approved as a replacement for Matheesha Pathirana who sustained a muscle strain in the match against Australia played at Pallekele Stadium.

The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee of ICC before being officially added to the squad which was approved by the four member committee comprising Wasim Khan (Chair, ICC GM – Cricket, Gaurav Saxena (ICC GM – Events & Corporate Communications, IBC representative) and Shaun Pollock (Independent Nominee).
