Isipathana football moves into new season

Isipathana College launched its campaign for the 2026 inter school football season at a ceremony held last week backed by chief corporate sponsor CMEC Group which is an international engineering company.

At the ceremony, the principal of Isipathana College Darshana Udawaththage presented the team jersey to the Additional General Manager of CMEC Group Yang Wei.

Wei in turn expressed CMEC’s enthusiasm for supporting the Isipathana football team saying the sponsorship was a worthy investment.

“We are proud to stand behind a team that embodies discipline and a drive for excellence. Our support for Pathanians Football is an investment in the future of Sri Lankan sports,” said Wei.

The other sponsors of Isipathana football are Oacianic Knitters providing high-performance kits, telecom partner Hutchison Telecommunications and equipment partner Chance Sports.

“Today, we have ensured our boys have the best resources available. While the Green Machine legacy is well-known in other arenas, today we have built a professional foundation specifically for our footballers to create their own legacy on the pitch,” said Isipathana principal Darshana Udawaththage
