Former badminton player Dharshana for China course  

Former Sri Lanka badminton player and veteran coach Dharshana Fernando is set to undergo an advanced badminton training program in Hangzhou, China - one of the world’s leading hubs for high-performance badminton.

Despite nearly six decades in the sport, Fernando firmly believes that learning never stops and his goal is to stay updated with modern training methods, evolving techniques and scientific approaches to athlete development.

Fernando said he remains committed to bringing this knowledge back to his students and sharing it not just locally but globally.

His first overseas coaching invitation was to Thailand in 2010 and since then his expertise has been sought after by numerous countries around the world.
