Asadisa de Silva along with Jason Fernando and Shavidu Silva shone for St Peter’s College with half tons on day two of their 92nd Battle of the Saints match against traditional rivals St Joseph’s College at the SSC ground.

Asadisa cracked 78 with six boundaries and two sixes and shared a 130 runs stand for the third wicket with Shavidu who made 62. Asadisa put on another valuable 77 runs stand for the fourth wicket with Jason who hit 67 that included seven boundaries and a six which helped St Peter’s to end day two on 248 for 7.

Earlier in the day the Joes resuming from their overnight score of 281 for 5 went on to make 352 runs.
