Dimantha, Aadham lead Trinity’s fight back

Skipper Dimantha Mahavithana and Aadham Hilmy led Trinity’s fight back against Nalanda when play ended on day two in the quarter final encounter of the Under 19 Division 1 Tier A cricket tournament played at the FTZ ground in Katunayake.

The second day’s play saw Nalanda in reply to Trinity’s score of 173 runs resuming from their overnight score of 98 for 5 undergoing some anxious moments before managing to take a first inning lead.

Trinity batting the second time and most probably going in for quick runs were spearheaded by skipper Mahavithana and Hilmy who both cracked half tons that saw them ending the day with a formidable score of 274 for 9, a lead of 263 runs. The match will be continued today.
