Dambulla and Colombo prevail with first innings wins

Dambulla and Colombo prevailed with first innings wins against Kandy and Galle in the National Super League tournament encounters concluded at the Sooriyawewa Stadium and Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.

Kandy in reply to Dambulla’s score of 451 resuming from their overnight score of 224 for 6 made 366 with Ashen Bandara making a top score of 94.

Galle chasing 289 runs for victory was on 271 for 5 and fell short by 18 runs as bad light put an early stoppage which ensured a first innings win for Colombo.
