Cricket’s executive committee resigns

The executive committee of Sri Lanka Cricket which included incumbent head Shammi Silva has resigned yesterday after a final meeting.

The Daily Mirror exclusively reported on April 22 the ‘bowl out’ of Shammi Silva following a move made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at long last in keeping with his election pledge for change.

Sri Lanka Cricket is now expected to be run by an interim committee until a new an acceptable governing system can be implemented in keeping with recommendations made by High Profile Probe Committees in Reports submitted over the past four years.
