Captain’s Cup golf starts today

The Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) will stage the prestigious Captain’s Cup from today at their Club course in Borella.

This tournament, a highlight on the club’s golfing calendar, is expected to attract a strong field of golfers competing in a spirit of sportsmanship and tradition. Tee off today will be from 7 am with over 200 golfers tipped to take part.

Founded in 1879, the club continues to uphold its rich legacy while moving steadily toward its 150th anniversary in 2029. The Captain’s Cup remains one of the events that celebrates this long-standing heritage. 

Over three days, the course will provide a competitive yet friendly environment where golfers test their skill, precision and consistency.
