CCC Maroons win

The CCC School of Cricket conducted two junior tournaments for the Under-10 and Under-11 age groups under the guidance and leadership of renowned senior cricket coach Nelson Mendis. 

The finals of both tournaments were held recently at the Rahula Vidyalaya Ground.

In the semifinals of the Under-10 tournament, CCC Maroons defeated Colts Cricket Association while SACA Moratuwa overcame Sanath Jayasuriya Cricket Foundation to book their places in the final.

In a closely contested final, CCC Maroons, captained by Sasrutha Ambagahawatte and coached by Gayan Waththuhewa, secured a thrilling seven run victory to become champions.

Eran Ranasinghe, Managing Director of George Steuart, graced the occasion as chief guest. He commended the young cricketers for their talent, performances and exemplary display of sportsmanship.
