Bandarawela Joes gear up

Ovitiyas Group has stepped forward to sponsor the warm-up and training kits of cricketers from St. Joseph’s College, Bandarawela as they prepare for their 21st annual Uva Battle of the Golds match against Bandarawela Central College.

The much-anticipated encounter is scheduled to be played today and tomorrow at the Bandarawela Municipal Council Ground. 

“As a long-time partner of this iconic match, which is eagerly awaited in Bandarawela, we are proud to sponsor the warm-up and training kits of St. Joseph’s College,” said Dishani Dharmasiri, Managing Director of Ovitiyas Group.

St. Joseph’s College will be led by fifth-year coloursman Sarith Malinda, with fellow fifth-year coloursman Sachin Dilanka serving as vice-captain. Third-year coloursman Chalana Randuna will take on the role of wicketkeeper.

The rest of the squad comprises Ishan Kavishka, Viboothi Ruwan, Thiwanka Thejan, Chamindu Thejitha, Theekshana Pramodya, Kaveesha Ayanitha, Buuddhitha Dilshan, Ravindu Hasara, Thanusha Nimshara, M.D.P. Madubhashitha, Mohamed Fahid, Shenuka Kalhan, Hiresh Kaushalya and Upeksha Malith.

The team is coached by SMB Chamara.
