Bandara helps Dambulla to make 408

A top knock of 95 by Anjala Bandara coupled with two partnerships helped Dambulla resuming from their overnight score of 20 for 6 to make a score of 408 on day two of the National Super League four day tournament match against Colombo played at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

Dambulla’s score was propelled by two valuable partnerships of 66 runs for the eighth wicket between Bandara and Kavindu Pathiratne who added another 57 runs for the ninth wicket with Akila Dananjaya.

Colombo in their turn helped by half tons from openers Ravindu Rasantha and Tharindu Amarasinghe who together shared an opening wicket stand of 101 runs ended the day making 153 for 2.

Ramesh Mendis’ knock of 70 enabled Galle resuming from their overnight score of 179 for 7 to make 260 against Kandy who ended the day on 199 for 7 in another match of the same tournament played at Dambulla.

The matches will be continued today.
