Another test for budding Sri Lanka women



Sathya Sandeepani who was captain of the Sri Lanka A women’s team in the recently concluded three match one-day series against New Zealand A women has been retained to lead the team for the forthcoming three match T20 series scheduled to be played at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.

Sri Lanka A lost a rain-curtailed three match one-day series 1-0.

The selectors have selected a squad of 16 players and they have retained ten players who played in the one-day series and have brought in five players Vitini de Alwis, Pramudi Methsara, Sachini Nisansala, Shashini Gimhani Aseni Thalagune in place of Lihini Apsara, Limansa Tillekeratne, Rashmi Silva and Tharuka Shehani.

The three match series is scheduled to get underway on May 21 followed by matches on May 23 and May 25.
