All systems ready for Masters badminton

The Ceylon Masters International Badminton Championships 2026 will be held from June 25 to 29 at the newly built Coolest AIR Sports Complex in Rajagiriya.

The five-day international tournament is expected to attract veteran shuttlers from several countries, bringing together former champions and senior badminton players for one of the region’s major Masters competitions.

The championship will feature players in the 35 to 75 age categories, with events scheduled in Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Combined categories.

Organisers said arrangements have already been made for registration, accommodation, transport and refreshments for participants. Winners will receive special prizes, while all competitors are expected to receive participation gifts according to the organisers.

The Coolest AIR Sports Complex, located on the outskirts of Colombo, is expected to provide modern indoor playing facilities for the tournament.

Entries for the championship remain open and organisers have urged Masters players and badminton enthusiasts to submit their applications early.
