Stocks extend losses

Forced selling continued to dampen market sentiment today as both indices ended the day on the red. Selling pressure on low value stocks such as PAP, FLCH, TESS, BLUE,MULL contributed to the negativity.

Much interest was seen on REG as the stock appreciated by 19.56% to close the day at LKR 278.00. LOFC, RGEM, COLO, TFC and VONE also came into the lime light.

The ASPI dipped 30.50 points while the liquid MPI fell 30.73 points at the end of the trading day. Price losers outnumbered gainers 134 to 79. Turnover was 1.8 billion rupees.
