Unmatched Familian Annaya signs off in style

 Annaya Norbert ended her campaign with four titles

Under 18 boys’ doubles champions Methika Wickramasinghe and Risith Somaratne

Annaya Norbert, a student of Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya, ended the SLTA Yeti Hard Courts Tennis National Championship 2025 with tremendous success as she added two more titles by winning the girls’ under 16 Singles event and then partnered by Vinethya Dharmaratne clinched the girls’ under 18 doubles title at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.

This was in addition to Annaya having earlier won the women’s Open and the girls’ under 18 Singles titles. Annaya in the girls’ under 16 Singles final coasted to a comfortable two sets to nil win over Sandothi Usgodaarachchi and partnered by Vinethya overcame the pair of Gehansa Methnadhi and Dulkini Ranasinghe also by two sets to nil.

In the boys’ under 18 doubles event which was played concurrently the pair of Risith Somarathne and Methika Wickramasinghe were made to work hard for their win to clinch the title which they achieved with a hard fought two sets to one win over the pair of Binuka Silva and Karthi Udayachandran.

Singles final: 
Girls Under 16 – Annaya Norbert beat Sandithi Usgodaarachchi 2-0 (6/1, 6/2) 
Doubles final:
Girls Under 18 - Annaya Norbert/Vinethya Dharmarathne beat Gehansa Methnadhi/Dulkini Ranasinghe 2-0 (6/4, 6/4)
Boys Under 18 - Risith Somarathne/Methika Wickramasinghe beat Binuka Silva/Karthi Udayachandran 2-1 (2/6, 6/4,10/8)
