Under 18 CP Basketball Tournament 2022 Trinity, Gateway declared joint champions

Trinity College and Gateway International Kandy were declared joint winners at the Under 18 Basketball Tournament conducted by the Central Province which took place in Kurunegala recently. Schools from Kurunegala, Kandy, Matale, Kegalle and Nuwara-Eliya participated in this annual event.  

Trinity beat Azhar Central Akurana (47-15), Kingswood (37-17), Maliyadeva (66-18) and St. Anne’s (53-22) in the semi-final.  

The final could not be played due to heavy rain in the Kurunegala. Meanwhile Gateway beat St Anne’s (44-43), CIS Kandy (46-19), St. Sylvester’s (56-24) and Maliyadeva (56-32)
