Under 13 Cricket St Benedict’s boy takes 9 for 9

Sehas Perera and Gesandu Perera shone for St Benedict’s College in their comfortable first inning win over Wadduwa Central in their Under-13 inter-school cricket tournament encounter played at Kotahena. 

Sehas ended with impressive match bag figures of 12 for 32 that included 9 for 9 in the first essay while Gesandu cracked an unbeaten ton inclusive of nine boundaries and a six.

In the other matches that were played Moratu MV, St. Mary’s Chilaw, Trinity, Mahinda and Devapathiraja MMV too securing first inning wins against Holy Cross Kalutara, St. Anthony’s Wattala, Bandaranayake MMV Gampaha, St. Servatius’  Matara and Dharmasoka MV Ambalangoda.
