The much awaited  Dialog schools rugby season will kick-off today with the Dialog Schools Knockout rugby tournament scheduled to get underway today with two pre-quarter-final matches down for decision.
Both the matches scheduled are to be played in Colombo with Wesley led by No. 8 Sandul Gammanpila taking on St. Joseph’s led by second row Janith Marasinghe at the Royal Sports Complex in Reid Avenue and DS Senanayake led by prop forward Lankesh Wickramasinghe locking horns with Dharmaraja at Longden Place.
The two matches no doubt are going to be keenly contested games and gauging a team as better than the other is not going to be easy as they will be coming out onto the field for the first time today.
But for sure the four teams know that this game is crucial and they are not going to take things easy as a defeat will see them out of contention. Nevertheless as mentioned it’s going to be a closely contested affair and the supporters of the four teams can expect some top notch rugby being dished out.
