Trinity’s Mahavithana slams unbeaten 300

Trinity College piled up a massive 476 for 1 declared in their Under 19 inter school cricket encounter against Prince of Wales College which commenced at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday.

Batting first Trinity were on song with national youth player and skipper of the outfit Dimantha Mahavithana scoring a brilliant and brisk unbeaten triple hundred. His unbeaten 300 with 36 boundaries and five massive sixes were a treat to watch. 

He becomes the highest individual scorer for the Trinity. 

Mahavithana on his way to the triple hundred went past the record held by Janith Warunakula against Wesley College which was 241.

He was well supported by Pulisha Thilakarathne who scored 123 as the pair put on a record first wicket stand of 325 before parting company.
