Thanga stamps his class

Veteran golfer N. Thangaraja produced a magnificent final round of 64 to clinch the Sri Lanka Open Championship 2026 title at the Royal Colombo Golf Club with an outstanding aggregate of 266. 
After rounds of 68, 68 and 66 in the opening three days, Thangaraja finished in style to secure a convincing eight-stroke victory and reaffirm his status as one of the country’s leading golfers.
Reshan Algama finished runner-up on 274 after returning rounds of 68, 68, 70 and 68.
Experienced campaigner Anura Rohana claimed third place with a total of 278 following consistent scores of 70, 69, 71 and 68.
Haroon Aslam and Mithun Perera shared fourth place on 279. Haroon carded rounds of 69, 71, 70 and 69, while Mithun, who led after the opening round with a superb 66, slipped down the leaderboard after a final-round 74 despite earlier scores of 69 and 70.
