Table tennis team leaves for Asian meet

The Sri Lanka senior table tennis team left for India to participate in the 28th Asian Table Tennis Team Championship 2025, a qualification event for the 2026 World Team Table Tennis Championships. 

The competition will be held from October 11 to 15 in Bhubaneswar, India.

The Sri Lankan squad consists of eight players, four men and four women, representing the country in both team categories.

The men’s team comprises Chameera Ginige, Nimesh Ranchagoda, Chanul Dulsen and Shafiullah Akram, while the women’s team is made up of Bimandee Bandara, Tamadi Kavinya, Lesanya Sethumdee and Shamalsha Dewmi.

They are coached by Buddhika Dikkumbura, managed by  W.M.A.Wijesinghe with JAS Rupika as lady chaperone.
